It seems the default of number of pages within the Launcher is three. Is there a way to add more so that I don't have to scroll so far down each page as I add more apps?

not without a partch, however I would wait for webOS 2 which gives that ability natively

there are several patches in preware now, if you can't wait.

Look under Launcher patches in Preware. I've got 6 Sweep pages on mine, never had a problem, and it's even survived Doctoring without reinstalling the patch. I just can't add-remove pages unless I put the patch back on.
