At work WIFI is locked down, and we are not allowed exchange syncs to a non-company owned device.

It looks like there is not much of an option if you can't do wifi or over the air exchange.

This is a fairly common scenario. Is there no option for a simple old direct sync with a PC? Yes syncing to the cloud is great, many companies limit it due to security.

I'm currently running Chapura PocketMirror to sync over the WIFI network at home.

At this point I can only sync at home! Any work arounds?

You should talk to your IT Department and discus their approved methods to do this. There are other "old school" sync options for you but at work you need to follow your IT Policy.
