Are you exchange? If so, are you non SSH (in the URL for your exch. server, does it begin with "http:" instead of "https:")?
I had the same problem after the update, still not being able to add my unsecured exch. server. I was getting the same error I would get before the new patch. So I tried starting with my calendar instead of my mail and it worked fine (it added both calendar and email at that point). Very strange, but as long as it's working I'm happy.
You also have the option of selecting either POP3 or IMAP instead of EAS. If you're able to get your email at all, one of those should work for you provided you have the correct settings. I had to add my work email this way until the update. Unfortunately this method didn't sync my calendar, but that's easily worked around by creating a Google calendar (or ANOTHER one in my case) and using a small sync app that runs on your work computer to sync your Outlook calendar with your Google calendar. It worked well as a temporary solution.
