I've been working in an extremely dark environment and keep the brightness on my ATT Pre Plus (1.4.5) turned all the way down. I installed the patch that lets you reduce the min/max brightness already, which helped a lot.

Before a web page loads, the background color is white until the page actually loads and the background color is specified, I'm assuming by the html code of the page. This default white background acts like a flashlight and lights up the whole room. A good example is if you try to open about:blank. A file download appears, but the background is white.

Now I realize that if the background of the actual webpage is white, there's nothing you can do about that. However is there a way to change the default background of the browser to a different color such as black?
