    I'm considering changing phones now that my Q5 is slowly dying.

    Which would give the best experience of webOS vs cost?

    I know the Veer is tiny, the Pre 3 is hard to find, and the nexus 4/5 doesn't have a physical keyboard.

    Which ones do you recommend?

    cost wise probably the nexus, but keep in mind that a nexus = luneos, and luneos is not yet ready for real daily usage as main phone, I think.
    If you find a good bargain, definitely a Pre3, in my opinion. This said be prepared to some annoyances ( a new browser would really be needed )

    Pre3 is definitely the best experience but I think either a Veer or Pre 2 would be appreciate for trying webOS. Coming from a Q5 the Pre3 would be a lot more similar to what you're used to while the Veer would be a good deal smaller like some older BlackBerry devices were.
    Devices: Pre3 16GB (AT&T - webOS 2.2.4) | White TouchPad 4G 32GB (AT&T - webOS 3.0.5 + LunaCE)

    Okay, thanks.

    I'm really intrigued by the Pre3, the only problem is that it is so hard to find.

    Are the keyboards on the Veer and Pre3 extremely clicky like the Q5 is? Or less so? I would prefer not to have a mushy keyboard.

    Both the Veer & Pre3 are still 'out there' (just!):

    HP Pre 3 Verizon | eBay

    HP Veer 4G - 8GB - White (AT&T) Unlocked Smartphone with Accessories | eBay

    I find the keyboards have just the right amount of 'clickiness' - provided one doesn't have GIANT fingers and has some semblance of finger nail remaining!

    There is also an on-screen KB which is surprisingly accurate & fast to use.

    erm, I don't remember the on screen keyboard could be activated in a stable ( not crashing ) way. Or did I miss something ?

    They are both pretty clicky and more similar to the Q5 than any of the other BB10 keyboards.

    There was a patch for webOS 2x that enabled a virtual keyboard. I've used it on my devices without any issue really. I want to say it crashes if the device rotates while it's activated but that's it.

    Yes, there were definitely some work done to iron out a couple of the VKB glitches.. and also to enable it to be more Veer-friendly too I think?
    But I don't think an audio key-click ever made it off the drawing board!

    Yeh, that was my point ( by reading back then ). I was waiting to add the vkb, but was waiting for it to not have drawbacks.

    on a side note, wasn't there a PAID app that added a customizable virtual keyboard ? I think that one didn't suffer from crashes ( but I don't know if it had a lower integration vs the vkb )
    PS
    I suspect we don't have "that" app alongside the saved ones

    Yeah, there was. Not integrated like the built-in one, so I never bought it. I suppose it would have been better than nothing.

    There are some paid apps in the archives, but I've never looked for that one.

    There's this...
    Quick-Keys Keyboard - DynamicDuoDesign

    I have it on the Pre2, but haven't found a back up IPK yet.

    You could contact the developer with this link: http://forums.webosnation.com/webos-...ue-closes.html

    ~~~
    Never had a single problem with it!
    Try installing VKB 1.1.6 activation patch and then XYTweak 0.2.0 patch to lock Global Accelerometer.
    In my view, only thing now missing is an audible key-click function.
