    For some reason, at this point, I cannot download anything or update anything directly from the app catalog. There seems to be an 'empty' download in progress that is affecting all other app catalog downloads..

    What files should be replaced through jason's repair utility or, even better, has anyone experienced this before?

    I have no idea what triggered it. I was trying to update some apps from the catalog when I noticed the blank line that your screenshot shows. I didn't have any patches or homebrew apps. Finally, after trying a number of soft resets with no result, I made sure my Palm back up was up to date, cleaned off the USB drive, and then reset the Pre via the "full erase" function. When every thing came back up and re-synced to my Google account, all was well.
