Official Adobe Flash Anticipation Thread

Does anybody know if this will be a full version of Flash Player, as opposed to something like Flash Lite? I'm not real familiar with the differences between the two, but obviously if the Pre could handle any Flash app (be it movie, game, animation) that a regular computer could, that would be amazing.

Yes, Adobe is abandoning Flash Lite in favor of full flash support on a mobile platform - Flash 10 mobile.

I asked today at the launch party and nobody there had any clue. I would not be holding your breath for flash.

What? There have been multiple articles (besides the one above) about Flash 10 coming to the Pre as one of the first devices to receive it by year-end.

It might not make any sense to you, but every question that was asked at todays event had an answer that went something like this........

"yes, this feature is being worked on and will be included in an update."

When I overheard a few people ask about flash, we got this as a response......

"not sure. At this time we have nothing to announce".

No offense, but I think I'll trust the numerous reports over random people at events who sounded like they were clueless on the matter.

I feel like flash support should have been on the phone already but sadly it is not and I don't know how long I am willing to wait for it...

So does anyone have any word on this?

Why should flash support have been on the phone already? Besides WinMO and Symbian devices, which only have Flash Lite support and suck in general as OSes, no other phone has Flash. Flash Lite stinks anyway which is why Adobe is abandoning it and the Pre will be one of the first, if not THE first, to have full Flash 10 support.

I disagree...full Flash should have been there out of the box.

Flash 10, blah blah blah...I bet we see Silverlight support before Flash (which is better anyway)

there is no exact time, and if you had used the search as eguy was pointing out, you would have found that out on your own...

Would you have been prepared to postpone the pre launch by (a couple of) month(s) just for flash?

When I bought my pre I was told that there is a flash player installed in the phone. So far, not one website is playing a thing. Is there something that I have to enable in the phone for it to work.

When I read about the pre it said that they signed a deal for Adobe 10. So why isn't it working?
