    Is the OS Unix based? If so why is there a lack of security around the device? For example you can encrypt the external media storage, as well as contacts.

    Define what you mean by lack of security.

    Keep in mind only the underlying OS layer is Linux. The actual webOS you interact with is html/css/javascript. This is both a blessing and a curse, the blessing being that there's not a whole lot you can do within the sandbox that would be a widespread security issue.

    ahh...(light goes on) ok no I wasn't aware that the webOS was html/css/javascript. I understand the temporary lack of security!
