Change font size for sms messaging

UPDATE

Created a patch thanks to Jason Robitaille and new Theme Builder 2.0.

This patch increases the size of the font for messaging.

Currently it is a static change to 36px It does not increase the text you type until you send it.

Use WebOs Quick install to install the Patch.

I love my pre but find it so hard to read the sms. Being a person of limited vision I would love to be able to increase the font size for messaging and other areas.

Anyone able to help with creating an app for this? Or give a little guidance to someone new at dev webos apps.

I have the same problem as you. The font is too small for me to read without pulling out my reading glasses everytime. I would love to know if it's possible to increase the font.

Easily possible actually. I could only give root directions, but someone would have to make a patch from it.

What part are you looking to increase the font to?

I myself think the font on messaging bigger would rock.

eventually i would like to change defualt system font up or down. like contacts icon text.

I can root to my pre no problem. would love to have a patch but will work in root to get messanging bigger now.

With Webos 1.2.0 out cool to see so many working so hard on everything.

Size is exactly what i should have conveyed.

Anyone reading offer any suggestions/walk trough to help with a fix? Would really like to be able to read my texts on my pre.

Not sure if this is helpful - but check out the below Thread in the webos development section. I have the same problem seeing the smaller type items and would love to be able to adjust font size in the various applications - text and email specifically.

I got my font-size increased for text messages. and was really easy to do once i found out where. I will post how-to in a short period useing webos quick install.

What font size do you require for messaging?, i could rustle one up which would work on 1.3.1.

Hey thanks shadow, ummm honestly not too sure about exact font size, whats the size now?

im guessing around 24-30px should be good
