    My Pre shows the emoticons in the email I write but it is not in the recieved email. What is sent is the standared keyboard smiley faces.

    They will only show if it is sent to a phone with emoticon support. Not all phones have it.

    Besides other pres, no other device has the emoticon files you do.

    Emoticons are only something the pre itself translates from certain characters into little graphics that show on the pre. What is actually sent is the original characters, the other phone or client would have to have emoticon support for them to show on the other end.
