Lol. No such thing as a stupid noob question. Unless you ask "whats a Pre?"...

haha...

anywho... the instructions aren't that clear... but... if you have Putty or your SSH client open to root@localhost ... all you need to type is:

vi /usr/lib/luna/system/luna-applauncher/app/controllers/global-search-assistant.jsjsjs

Then... follow the instructions here on how to use vi.

You should be good to go!
