    WebDav Client Resurrection

    icon_0_1_11.png

I've taken over development from the un-reachable developer "avEnter" on their WebDav Client, fixing a number of bugs, and repairing its functionality to work with modern webDav servers. By hosting a simple webDav server, like the open-source, cross-platform Dave, on your computer, you can proxy access to anything that computer has in its file system -- including Cloud storage. This work-around proved much simpler than trying to restore any of the, now-defuct, Cloud apps in the Museum. Basically, if your computer can get it, now your TouchPad or Pre3 can get it too.

WebDav Client is one-way only, for now -- from your computer, to your device. The original author had started stubbing in functions to go the other way, but they were incomplete, and even more buggy than the base functionality, so I'll have to get to that part later.

(If you are, or know, the original developer, I'd love to get permission and/or collaborate, but since the listed domain is down, none of the contact information works, and I'm assuming this is abandon-ware. As always, I will comply with legal take-down notices from legitimate rights holders.)

Instructions for configuring Dave to work with WebDav Client are in GitHub: https://github.com/codepoet80/webos-webdavclient
The client app has been updated in the Museum, and marked as Beta for now: http://appcatalog.webosarchive.com/s...av&app=1000505

    03.5. Release
This now works with OwnCloud webDav, supports sub-folders, and has layout improvements to make it more functional on webOS Phones.

    0.5.0 Release
This update makes sweeping code changes to improve load time (using browser storage, for future compatibility with Android/LuneOS, instead of DB8), do better error handling, and support for recognizing more file types.

LuneOS has DB8 too, so if it's not working that's something we'd need to look into. Anyway great it will be available on multiple platforms!
