About a week ago, I emailed myself a PDF, which I thought I had transferred to my laptop. I hadn't.

I couldn't get the laptop on Wifi to pull the email, but I was able to connect to my Pre using Bluetooth, after which I ssh'ed into the phone, found the attachment, and moved it to the USB Drive directory. Hook the phone up to the laptop & I was good to go.

Yes, this all would have been simpler had I got the tethering working, or if the Bluetooth supported file transfer, but the bottom line is that I got the file I needed by pulling a few tricks.

    I love this phone!

If you can ssh into the phone over wifi, why didn't you sftp it to yourself?
