I am a Newbie, and want to install Linux/Ubuntu on my TouchPad. Looks damn complicated. Goal is to run Office apps.

The hardest part is to partition the drive.
After that, there are some easy scripts that will install the ubuntu software and share the webOS drive.

There is a new homebrew app called Taylor which partitions the drive for you (the old way was to make your own metadoctor and run it) but Taylor is still in alpha testing.

Actually, there's no need to partition the drive, you can just use an Ubuntu image and create an ext3fs file system.
