So I'm probably going to be making the move to Android (HTC Evo 4G) when it becomes available in June, but still plan to make use of my Treo 800w since it will still be a great device even without cell service associated with it (so happy it has WiFi, unlike the 700wx which is now serving as a paperweight!)

My question is this - if the radio is turned on, even if it doesn't have a phone number or cell service associated with it, will it still be able to acquire a GPS signal via aGPS for use with navigation, or will this only work if there is an active cell account associated with the phone? I'm hoping it will still work, since after all, 911 calls still work without an active cellular account associated with a phone, but I'm wondering if anyone has any definitive information?
