Any way to get rid of "Connecting" message for EVDO data

Is there any way to get rid of the "Connecting" message that says something about dialing #777, when using a data app? It is a little bubble that comes up over everything.

There is a "Hide" button, but that only gets rid of it right at that moment. It still comes up later.

Yes, go to Sounds & Notifications.

Look for "Connection established" and uncheck all.

Now say nacho-cheese.
