How much did you pay for your Treo Pro??

BRAND NEW IN BOX SPRINT PALM TREO 850 PRO PHONE - eBay (item 200320926601 end time May-14-09 23:59:36 PDT)

Brand new, never opened & clean ISN. Just ordered this and 3 days later had in hand. Went to sprint.com/activate and transferred from transferred from 800w to 850 w. A little thinner than 800w. Love them both but pro has 3.5mm headphone jack and 800w didn't which is really why I switched. Windows 6.1 is a bonus. Comes with several more apps than 800w.

Well, here's all the math.

$200 shipped from ebay for my Treo Pro (1.04 version)
-$70 contract renew credit
-$160 sold new samsung rant on ebay (got for free from sprint for handset upgrade credit / renewing contract)

I was PAID $30 to upgrade from my Sanyo M1 to the Treo Pro.

After all said and done...
My Treo Pro will run me about $0 out of pocket. I had them back credit me on some text message overage charges.
My wife's Treo Pro will run about $75 out of pocket.

I'm getting a $100 mail-in rebate. So it ends up costing me nothing out of pocket, and I "technically" made about $60 after selling my Touch Pro.

Ebay has several $209 or best offer with free shipping threads. Today I noticed 3 Buy It Now's at $199 with free shipping. Why would customers renew their contract for $199 after rebates when you could buy one outright for the same amount.

I'm getting mine for $0. Took my 800w in for repair b/c it wasn't ringing and also locking up. The guy suggested just doing an insurance swap. I jokingly asked what it would take to get the Pro, he was like, yeah, right! Then he started the warranty process and he stopped and said "Oh my gosh! This is your lucky day!" The replacement for the 800w is the Pro. Very sweet, I cannot wait.

I have a Treo 750 that was getting a weak signal in a particular regional/rural area I go to, my carrier Telstra Australia up graded me to the Pro for $0 after I made inquiries so I'm happy.

I think I got ripped off. I bought my Treo Pro a couple of months ago off Ebay to go along with a 680 I have and paid freaking $450 dollars !

Ouch. As you know now Palm devices tend to not hold their value very well. We will see what the Pre does after a few months.
