is there a way to get my exchange email and pop email to one location on my Treo? Or do I need to bounce back and forth from accounts?

Well, they ARE 2 separate accounts. The stuff in the exchange folders are representative of what's stored in your inbox ON THE EXCHANGE SERVER. Any changes you make locally propogate back to the server.

With POP, you download the email and store it locally. It's typically wiped from the server when downloaded.

Having said that, I don't see how you could mix the inboxes. Even Outlook on the PC would keep them in separate structures.

I think something like Chattermail will put all email accounts in one folder/view for you.

    Two problems with that suggestion.

    1) Chattermail does not support MS Exchange (IMAP and POP only)
    2) Chattermail is for the PALM OS, not Windows Mobile.

I think I have a similar need, but I hope this isn't a silly question.

I've been getting mail onto my phone by downloading it from multiple POP servers (Gmail & Yahoo) to a single Inbox/Outbox/Sent Items using Outlook on my laptop, and then synchronizing by cable or bluetooth to my phone.

I'm thinking about getting a data plan and am wondering how I could get those POP emails directly from Gmail and Yahoo into the main Inbox/Outbox/Sent Items folders on demand when I'm away from my laptop. When I attempt to add a POP account to the phone, it creates a separate set of Inbox/Outbox/Sent Items for each POP account rather than just bringing mail into the same Inbox/Otbox/Sent Items the way my laptop does.

Does that make any sense? I just want everything in one Inbox/Outbox/Sent Items - and I'd like to be able primarily get mail from my laptop, but occasionally get mail using a manual send/receive from the phone. I want to do it this way because data plans are still crazy expensive in Canada ($60 for 4mb/mo) but occasionally I do need to send/receive on the phone when I can't get back to my laptop during the day.

    Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for the help.

    Take care,

I don't know of anything that combines the inboxes. However, I haven't had any problems working from multiple boxes on the device.

Navigating from one account's inbox view to the next is as simple as pressing the left or right directional button. Also, when a "new email" notification pops up, it tells you which account it's for and lets you jump right to that inbox.

I don't understand why this is such a big deal for some. If you're already navigating through your email then most likely you already have a thumb on the navigation keys. One keypress is not that big a deal.

Personally, I prefer the accounts to be separated as I know which one the email came in on without even having to open it, it keeps work and personal separate, and I know where I'm replying from. To each his own.
