Is there a way to run Sprite Backup without a password? I had to setup a password when I first installed this app to backup and restore. Is there anyway to take this feature off? I don't want to enter a password every time I use this app. Thanks.

If you do not encrypt your backup, you will not be asked for a password.

The question now is how do you encrypt your backup without entering a password?

If you open Sprite Backup in Advnced Mode, tap Options>Backup Options> General Backup Options, uncheck that "Encrypt Backup". Then it wont ask you for password anymore.

I noticed that also...it asks for a password no matter what for me....I finally bit the bullet and purchased SPB Backup.

Hi guys, make sure you uncheck that "Encrypt Backup" first, then run a backup and perform a restore using the backup file. Your previous backup is made with a password, so it will ask you for password when you restore.

Isn't it remembering your password? I have a bunch of x's in those fields and just hit ok. I never have to type anything, other than the first time.

Yes, if you have setup a password to encrypt your backup image file before, and also keep the Encrption function enabled, you will be requested either to enter a new password or keep using the password you have input before to proceed the backup. While if you go to General Backup Options to uncheck the Encrption, then you will never be asked for the password again.
