    I have a new 700w.

    I have now un-installed and re-installed ActiveSync (4.1) four times.

    AS runs, and shows Sync completed successfully.

    Favorites and Notes sync just fine.

    Contacts and Calendar will NOT sync.

    The boxes are checked for those items to be synced.

    I am not using an Exchange server.

    I have followed all the Troubleshooting guides in the electronic guide to no avail.

    Any suggestions?

    First thing I would do is get ActiveSync 4.2 and try it with that. Also, did you update your Treo to version 1.1? I would do that too. Dumb question but you do have your cable connected to the Treo and the computer? I use Exchange to stay up to date and it works great.
