Hey guys bought a Palm Pre off ebay its stuck on the profile setup. I can't get into dev mode either becuase the system has been wiped and its stuck on the profile setup. I was able to get the code to manually program it through the MLS code (Sprint) but im stuck. I looked at all the guides but I must be missing something.

Download devicetool.jar from pivotCE.com and run it with your phone in recovery mode plugged into your computer which has Java installed. The guide is on pivotCE too.

The preader native app on my Palm Pre Plus kept crashing. I tried clearing cache, but it still crashed. Finally, I decided to just reset the phone with the "delete app" option. Little did I know this wiped out the Palm Profile, too. Oh well. So, it was a fun hour bypassing Palm Profile setup with devicetool and webosquickinstall, and all that jazz. Got preware back, plus my ereader too. Back to reading!

Now, my Pre3 is far better than the Pre Plus, but there something about that smooth, curvy pebblestone feel of the Pre Plus that makes it more fun to hold and read on.
