    'Sup guys,

just registered here to let you know something I just found out:
When you install webOS 2.0 on your Palm Pre (which is possible nowadays because of some things floating around on the intarwebz right now), you cannot log in to your old Palm Profile.

Sucks, because you can't buy apps, nothing gets synced and so on...

Workaround: When booting the Pre (after doctoring or resetting it), simply enter your old Palm Profile email address and password. Then tap "Forgot Password".

WebOS starts to restore all settings, fails, tells you that it failed and asks for a reboot.

    Reboot the Pre.

Voila: There is your old profile. Check the App Store, your old credit card information, everything is already there.

Nevertheless no apps get restored and you cannot buy apps yet, because there are simply none to buy... But at least you can use your old profile now. Better than nothing

    Greetings, augen1337

It's important to note that once you use your Palm Profile on webOS 2.0, you can't ever go back and use it on 1.4.5.

I'm going to close this for now because trying any of this would be harmful to users and required pirated code.
