    I have a Verizon Pre+. Is there a way I can use it while travelling in Russia?

    This might be more of a carrier question than a palm one, but i figured somebody here would be able to answer this question pretty quickly.

    Verizon Pre is CDMA, and Russia is mainly GSM country. There are some local CDMA networks in Russia (check CDG : Worldwide : Worldwide), but your Pre would work on them only if Verizon has roaming agreement.
    Long story short - there is very slight chance, but in general I wouldn't count on using your phone in Russia.

    In Russia, Pre does not work for you. Pre work for KGB.

    the verision pre plus is a dual cmda radio and will not work on over seas cdma networks. needs to be tri or quadband. as i found out with my sprint palm pre. but you can use it in wifi hotspots of course. hope this helps.

    NERF work with PRE in US, FSB mostly inside Russia...

    Grab an unlocked GSM Pixi and get a SIM there. They have a decent set of prepaid services in Russia, you can use WiFi at McDonalds there too. Don't count on finding much WiFi in Russia though, when I was there they didn't really even have 3G, mostly EDGE/GPRS.
