    i have been trying to remove that damn app forever, but no luck. It does not have an appinfo.json file, but it has a file called 12022008 containing the following:
    "id": "",
    "appId": "",
    "removable": false,
    "visible": false,
    "launchPointId": "12022008",
    "title": "Sprint",
    "icon": "\/usr\/palm\/applications\/\/icon.png",
    "params": { "scene": "page",
    "url": "http:\/\/\/landings\/palmpre"

    i added the visible:false line, but it doesnt seem to work. I removed the directory altogether, but the icon still showed up on the launcher. Is it possible that launchpointid is a link to some other file in the phone?

    I want to get rid of the icon.

    Found the solution at webos internals
    Patch Launcher Hide-Delete The NASCAR App - WebOS Internals

    Use the same command, but replace the file location of sprint portal, or any other stock app.
