Does webos quick install work on the pre after the 1.4 update. I have had my phone for awhile now and have been on the fence about messing with its insides. I just want to know what i'm in for. Will i have to remove everything to do future updates?

You should have no problems with WebOS Quick Install. Just make sure you have the latest version & install per the instructions. I have used it using 1.4

Yep agreed, no probs at all with 1.4, couldn't live without WOSQI.

    Download it to your desktop/laptop

Open it and plug your phone to your desktop/laptop, click the little arrow and you'r in business

I installed following the instructions. When I click tweaks after installation it says tweaking requires both GNU patch and Lsdiff installed to function. one or both of these is missing from your device. WOuld you like to install them now? So i click yes then ok and it just goes back to the webos quickinstall and then i click tweaks again and it starts all over.

WebOS QI was on version 3.02 last time I looked.

Yes, it does indeed. In fact, I didn't even use it until 1.4 came out, I didn't want to put the time into it until I knew I wasn't going to return the phone for either a problem, or just really not liking it.

Yea, the first line of the thread gives you a link to install the 3.02 version. OP make sure you installed the 3.02 version, also once you installed the Webos QI restart your phone and connect back
