    I have two POP email accounts. I had to do a restore today and I set up the accounts fresh.

    I am using Comcast's SMTP servers and have everything in there correctly.

    When I send email, I immediately get an 'Error Sending' notification on the Pre.

    Moments later though, I get email on the intended account.

    Any ideas?

    So you get an error, but the email goes through anyway?

    Well I would double check the SMTP settings anyway just to be sure. otherwise i guess it may be some sort of certificate issue.

    For SMTP settings, I'm using unencrypted and port 25.

    Any reason why I shouldn't be using those?

    Well, I seemed to have fixed it. I deleted the accounts, rebooted and entered them again. This time it worked.
