I got the 76m update, have the pearl color button, and am on build 171.... no LED for me.

Touch the screen where it says "Version Palm WebOS 1.2.0" and it will toggle to the build number.

Build 171. nothing different in screen settings.

Build 171 here; nothing different in screens (although I do notice that when my Pre is on the touchstone and I receive an email or message, the pearl button blinks momentarily, but does not continue to do so).

So my friend is also on build 171, as am I, yet he had the blinks and I along with most of us don't. It's mind boggling.
