They then told me that they had to speak with a manager, I again began to wait...after another 30 minutes had gone by, I saw the manager of the sprint store sitting with my phone apart, and battery out blowing on it with an air gun... they said "we are putting air on it to see if maybe it will fix it".... (I still don't understand how blowing air on my phone would have fixed the blown speaker.)
Anyway after he blew on my phone for 5 or 6 minutes, he gave it back to the tech and he called me over and said he was going to order me a replacement phone because they don't give out the phones that are in the sprint stores.... (note i had only had this phone two weeks, which should have qualified for a under 30 day swap... but they said no.)
So they ordered me a phone and told me "its on back order so we can't tell you when it will come in, it could be 3 days or 3 months, we just don't know." They said they would call me when it came in, I left after 2 hours with the same phone and speaker. I waited one week and called them to find out that my new phone had been in and I had received no phone call. I went to pick up my new phone, got it activated and left.
I have had my new phone for three weeks and it will not connect to wifi networks (and never did) and low and behold... ANOTHER BLOWN SPEAKER... I have to go back to sprint and get my phone replaced yet again... Who do I blame, Sprint or Palm... I think that sprint is to blame for part of this, they should have tested my wifi before giving me the phone and obviously failed to do so... and the speaker I guess is palms fault.
Not to say that this phone isn't amazing and won't be the best phone out after the app catalog is revamped, but I think that sprints customer service and palm have both fallen short of the mark in this case.

Sorry to hear the issue , but your post look a bit suspicious , the store guys will never give trouble if you are within the 30 day period.
Once you cross the 30 day period, they have to have permissions and such to swap phones.
Can you tell us which state the store is located ?
