As WebOS 1.1.0 is released, it got me thinking of how the on-board memory is taxed?

When we install a new version such as this major update 87mb, does it erase 1.0.4 after install?

Does it only erase after major updates, such as 1.1.0? I'm assuming minor updates would just add-on functionality to the already existing OS.

Or does it simply add code to the already existing 1.0.4 hence taking up more memory space?

    Thanks in advance.

It overwrites the original file(s) it replaces. It only takes up more space if the new file(s) is/are larger than the old.
