Basically my earpiece has stopped working. My speakerphone works fine and when I connect a headset it works.. I tried disconnecting and connecting a wired headset to see if that would fix it but it's a no go.. Anybody have any other ideas?
Remove the battery. wait 30seconds. Put it back on. Worked on my Treo when that occurred a few times over the years.

I removed the battery and it did nothing. However, a couple hours later the earpiece just started randomly working again . So I don't know if i should hang on to it or try and swap it out....
Cant post link to topic in the hardware section but they solved the problem. Put the plug in and out of the jack a few times or do like i did and blow into the jack.
So I took my headset and rapidly put it in and out of the jack and after 4 or 5 times and it finally came out of headset mode Whatever switch is in there must end up getting stuck.

That is actually a feature (the phone knew that whoever you were going to talk to in that couple of hours, you really didn't need to talk to)
Interesting. Would we be required to exchange the entire package (phone and earpiece) if we'd like a replacement earpiece? I doubt they'll just swap the earpiece by itself?!
PS - You should be using a bluetooth headset with the device anyways. You'll never go back to anything wired. I recommend the Sony DR-BT22 headset ($30).
