    I usually buy online so they waive the activation fees -- but since we have to buy this in store, are we going to get hit with bogus activation charges tomorrow morning?

    good question, im sure the phone doesnt change anything from how sprint regularly does it.

    Btw, the answer to this was 'no'. At least in my ugrade case.

    I am a new customer to Spring from Verizon and there was no activation fee on my purchase.

    Activation fees will probably appear on your first bill. Just call Sprint and have them remove them when they show up.
