I now see why they didn't go with Android, this phone represents the innovation that made Palm. Android would have been a step back and this is the phone to make the iPhone worry.
So I want to know how easy will it be for developers who want more direct access to hardware for advanced software such as emulators. Can we run ARM code on it without having to crack the OS and figure out what everything does, or will APIs be provided by Palm?
Me too. If you need an unlocked international phone look elsewhere. Bye-Bye Palm! Don't want to wait for Sprint/Palm to acknowledge the rest of the world, my T650 is getting long in the tooth...
hidden Vertical sliding KB, rectangle screen, touch screen, gps, wifi, storage space, 3.5mm jack, universal connector...looks like i will be back on the palm bandwagon for sure! i loved my touch pro this morning and now i hate it!
how long after release do you think the first thread about doing a class action suit will come up...
CONGRATS PALM! And Thank You! All the years we've been shafted and you finally pull through - and in a BIG way. I'm glad to be on Sprint at the moment.
I can't wait to hear more from those onsite. I would have like to heard something about running old POS apps though. Regardless, it looks very slick.
sigh.. kinda sucks that since i am a canadian gsm user, that i wont be seeing this phone for a very long time... since sprint a non gsm provider is picking it up first...
but this phone does look nice, and i want it, sigh....
I didn't see anything about backwards compatibility for old apps (not that a lack of this will diminish a lot of the excitement over what they presented).
