I got a Pre2 from ebay. After the installation of the uberKernel it booted and arrived in a bootloop.
I tried the webOS Doctor to restore, but he broke off at 8%. So I tried the instructions "howto recover" to restore the partitions. After a few tests I can say.
The probelm is, every time something accessed /dev/store/root it cuts connection to the device. Whether it's the webosdocktor or "lvm.static lvremove store" or fsck -y /dev/store/root".
The error message is:
Novacomd socket was closed prematurely
Novacom: unexpected EOF from server
Please help me. I just got the Pre2 new and want it as daily driver.
Update: The same is when I try to check /dev/store/media with dosfsck. It found an error:
dosfsck -a -r /dev/mapper/store-media
dosfsck 2.11, 12 Mar 2005, FAT32, LFN
There are differences between boot sector and its backup.
Differences: (offset riginal/backup)
71:48/20, 72:50/20, 74:50/20, 75:52/20, 76:45/20
1) Copy original to backup
2) Copy backup to original
3) No action

update: Is there maybe a way to set the partitions of mmcblk0 new?
