But if you just download the entire package from the first link, really all you have to do is go to a terminal window and from the metadoctor directory, run the following:
./scripts/meta-sprint-franken-verizon-pre2-2.2.4
You need to also create a Downloads folder inside of the metadoctor folder. This is where it attempts to download the broken link doctor files, and I'm thinking we need to extract them manually and place their folders inside of Downloads. I had one of the files and ran the script after placing it in the Downloads folder and it overwrote it with a hollow file instead. :P
If all of this sounds too hard, perhaps you could just send me those 2 original files mentioned and I can build it.
Much thanks, either way!
No problem. I figured this was a better thing to do than hammering Archive.org with a 350MB+ download. If i can't donate to them to cover for the sudden bandwidth expenditure, i can at least help minimize it a bit.
Anyway... I've used MetaDoctor to back-up my Pre and Touchpad in the past, so i'm familiar with that routine... the only thing i really needed was how to run a "frankenpre" build. So thanks for the clarification
Once it works for me, i'll post the instructions on how to keep the script from overwriting the Doctor packages. I have a pretty good idea of what i'd have to do.
Good luck with the build
....
@deyanimay,
Hey, that was clever
