Ok I'm pretty sure that I already know the answer to this, but does the Pre 2 take a regular sized SIM card or a micro SIM card? Just wanted to be sure! Thanks in advance!

Standard size SIM in my Pre 2... So far as I know, none of the webOS devices use a micro SIM. I've read a few threads where people switching to webOS complain about adapting their micro for use in Palm/HP models...

As I recall, there are holes in the SIM holder, so you can use them to (gently) stick a pin in the SIM and edge it out bit by bit until you can get hold of it - if that's what you're asking for.

The sim slot in a pre2 is right below, not under, the battery, visible as soon as you open the back cover. If you don't see one, there's a cdma com board in there! You do remove the battery to get a decent grip on it.
If they told you that, they may have assumed it was an LTE device. The LTE radio uses something like a SIM (a UICC) but the CDMA side still has not SIM card.
