Just bought a Verizon Pixi Plus to experiment with. I tried to download the WebOS Doctor files for it but only get - Connection refused: mynewpalm.com:80 when I click the link.

Any thoughts or other sites to download from?

    Thanks

Edit your HOSTS file. All my machines & webOS devices have these edits.
    https://pivotce.com/2015/06/15/tip-e...-palm-servers/
    Select from this list:
WebOS Doctor Versions - WebOS Internals
Don't forget to back everything up before doctoring.
    Read this:

    And this:

The links in the signature should also be useful.

My hosts file has been editted like that for a while. About a month ago I was able to download the files, just recently I have only been receiving the message - Connection refused: mynewpalm.com:80. It appears the files are no longer available. I am looking for the webos doctor for a Verizon Pixi Plus. Is it available anywhere else?

    Thanks

Perhaps a system update over-wrote your HOSTS file because you will never get a re-direct to "mynewpalm.com:80" with the HOSTS file modification working.
I just tried Verizon Pixi Plus version 1.4.5.1 in Firefox/Windows and it wanted to download a 208MB doctor jar file - not a mynewpalm.com:80 error.

    @indusarts
By the way, the only HOSTS file line needed specifically for the doctor downloads is:
    Code:
    195.22.200.42 downloads.help.palm.com
WebOS Doctor Versions - WebOS Internals

Can confirm. This was also my experience.

Interesting. I thought I might as well look at what is actually at mynewpalm.com - 404. palm.com redirects to.... mynewpalm.com

It is also possible, depending on your system and browser, that it is using a cached DNS entry, or a different DNS system than what the OS is using.
    Did you know:

webOS ran on a Treo 800 during initial development.

Sorry everybody, it turned out to be a problem with the browser I was using. I have been trying various browsers since Firefox changed and the one I was using to download the files - Opera - was causing the re-direct. Thanks to all, your answers made me look in another direction and find the solution to my problem.
