i luv my pixi, but what is making me crazy is the heat at the lower back. I have heard, that with the mugen this will get better? Can you confirm this?

(i have an 3gs, too, but i prefere webos. My iphone never gets warm or hot. I believe palm has made somewhere a misstake, maybe the backcover's material absorbs and saves to much heat)

What temps are you seeing?

Mine seems to idle at about 27/28 Celsius.

I've just been watching a few videos and it got up to 38 C.

Very rarely now do I see it get up to 48 or 49, but haven't seen 50 since tweaking my overclock setup.

So... I'm still clocking at 806 now, but don't reach 50 Celsius ever.

I probly will in July and August... but not now.

Ive seen 9 when i go skiing but then i put it into my other pocket and it goes to like 20, Ive seen 48,49 a few times and i always worry that if it gets to hot it will ruin my phone will it?

If it STAYS @ 55 C for an extended length of time, you should beware.

There is a patch that warns you if the device stays at 50 or 55 C for too long.
