Halp!! I searched on this and didn't find anything, so here it goes.

I have been trying to use Napster to Go and Yahoo Music unlimited and neither will recognize my palm device. It is on, plugged into the USB port and Ptunes is running.

When I plug in the USB cable, Windows thinks it has found new hardware and tries to install drivers. It cannot find them anywhere (Sprint CD, etc.) and refuses to set up the device. Nevermind that the Hotsync works fine. Doesn't make any sense to me. Any ideas? (BTW, Windows XP Home)

I am installing a Verizon 650 today at a client's office. Had the same problem. I resolved it by installing the latest Palm Desktop, with the new Outlook conduit, and shutting down and restarting the pc. The first sync is taking a while, but it is working now.

I also ran the Verizon updater and got the Treo to version 1.04 from 1.03, which is probably a good thing.

Try a different USB port. You never know -- sometimes its the simple things.
