    I have previously used the Treo 180, 270, 300, and 600 (gsm). We had no audio problems until we adopted the Treo 600 (gsm).

    With both TMobile, ATT, and Cingular service, I received repeated complaints that my voice sounded like there was a echo. This made my calls very uncomfortable for the recipients.

    From TreoCentral, it became clear that the problem was with an unshielded microphone cable in the Treo 270, 300, and 600. I had my 600 replaced by Palm with little improvement.

    It has been about a year since the Treo 650 came to market.

    There were some early complaints of echo again early after the 650 release.

    Has this presisted with continued deliveries of the 650 with Sprint, Verizon, and now with the GSM versions?

    Is there a fix?

    I would like to know as I would like to migrate back to the Treo.

    I have had no complaints of an echo in 8 months of use on Sprint.

    The firmware update for Cingular fixed echoes for me, my wife tells me the sound sounds almost like a landline now. Even better with VolumeCare with the mic pumped up.
