Has anyone else had any success with the Linksys USBBT100? I'm considering purchasing one but I'm skeptical of the supposed 1,000 foot range discussed here:

I have a class 1 adapter and I'll get about 20 meters (line of sight). Beyond this will it even matter how good of a USB adapter I get since the Treo isn't a class 1 device? Who's gotten it to connect at the supposed 100 meters, let alone 1,000 feet? TIA for any insight or personal experiences.
