I'm wondering, how much free space should be available for use with a new VZW Treo 650? I don't mean how much RAM is in there, I mean, in the end, once you boot it up and start using it, but with only the software that came preinstalled from ROM, how much free space should there be? Another question is, how much free space is necessary? So at what point do I need to stop loading apps/data so the Treo still operates at 100%?

    Should be around 23MB.

I personally like to keep at least 5MB free. The Forum That Asks, "Are You Not Entertained?"

Remember: "Anyone that thinks the Treo should just work right out of the box, shouldn't own a Treo..."

What a pity. You get about 22MB to start and need about 5 for it to run ok. I figured, no problem, I'll just use SD card. But am I the only one who finds storing anything on those cards is so slow it is useless? I guess it might be ok for very small documents and multimedia media that can stream from SD, but storing large documents or apps on SD grinds the treo to a halt. Does anyone know if the faster SD cards really improve things on that front?
