Called Cingular technical support on Saturday and first spoke to a technician in Arkansas (no wait) about my inability to send email on Versamail but could receive it. She tried to help but had to forward me to another tech in NJ who could. He suggested the same thing that many have suggested here - use their server for outgoing mail. That was the only setting that I had to change - (Cingular wireless mobile exchange) and it worked. They were very helpful and most pleasant.
