This is happening to me as well, but I have noticed a couple things when it actually DOES happen:

1. The PCS Vision indicator seems to get stuck on green (not gray)
2. The Treo gets warm (suppodedly because of the connection)

It can be fixed by manually disconnecting each PCS Vision session, but why would you want to do that if it only occasionally stays "stuck" and it's an inconvenience to try and reconnect to vision every time?

This did not happen prior to the 1.12 upgrade.

I do not think any one application is responsible for this, I think sometimes the radio doesn't turn off during the idle time of a vision session.

It happens in my case only when the radio if *off* and yes the Treo feels warm.

I never turn my radio off except on airplanes, so I don't know if mine exhibits the same problem. Have you had this happen when the radio is on?

For the three times this happened to me it never happened when my radio was on.

It never happen when the radio is on but I think the problem is fixed in b31. Will need some more time to test.

I used the alternate method twice (original Treo 650 and a refurbished unit that, as it turns out, was not required that came with 1.08) and have not had turbo drain yet. . . . . . knock on wood.

Damn, this just happened to me again last night. I must remember, do not turn Treo off.

I am still running 1.08. I had Turbo drain when I left Bluetooth on. With it off, at the end of the day I still have more than 70%-85% battery even after fairly good usage.

With BT, I was going down to 50%-30% everyday.

My turbo drain occurs when the radio is on and has been connected to PCS Vision. Sometimes the little lites stay green, even though no apps are sending/receiving to my knowledge. When it happens, they stay green until you disconnect the PCS Vision session. Exiting out of all apps that could possibly be using PCS Vision does not cause the lights to go gray. It seems to be session -dependant. If it's going to happen, it will happen from the moment it is first connected to PCS Vision. If it's not going to happen (i.e, the lights go gray) then it won't happen that session. Weird. Of course, staying connected in green status with the PCS Vision causes a normal battery drain (~100% drain in ~4 hours). And this causes the phone to get warm, even though display is off.

Sounds like the other problem occurs with the radio off, so it can't be a data problem, unless it's BT related.

But we've definitely got 2 kinds of "Turbo Drain" going on here.

OK, let me clarify. Nothing on my Palm is "On" when this happens. No BT, no data connection, no phone connection. Everything is completely shut off. BT is only on when I use my BT headset. Before I go to bed I hold down the red power button until I see the Sprint shutdown screen. Palm screen is also off before I go to bed. So technically there is nothing that should be using the battery enough to drain more than 95% of a full battery overnight.

Did you actually Disconnect your data connection BEFORE turning off the phone?
