Yes. A reliable source reported that he had spotted a Treo 650 used by PalmOne staff during a LifeDrive channel promotion event. It was indeed running 1.28 firmware.

1.28/1.13 ROW is for real. After seeing the posts over at mtdn, I sent an sms to our local palmone office. The reply I got was that the latest upgrade is currently being tested by the local networks. I have not recieved a reply as to when this will be released.

Update must be coming soon. P1 has updated their T650 update site http://www.palmone.com/us/support/do...reo650updater/ with all the wireless carriers who carry the 650. (Refering to Rogers in particular which wasn't there when I checked yesterday.)

Are the "Release Notes" in your first post straight from P1, or your summation? I assumed (from their brevity) that they were yours, and simply have wanted to see the official notes. Again, not bashing here--and I'm as glad as anyone to finally see updated fw for the GSM 650.

I have a Cingular but I flashed it with 1.21 for unbranded and the only things I noticed is it no longer shows the Cingular logo but the Treo 650 logo and my DUN is enabled. Does anyone know if I caused myself some unknown, future harm? It runs a helluva lot better than with 1.04.
