There are three options in the backup conduit on the mac. Backup, restore, or Do Nothing. I changed it to Do Nothing from Backup to see if that would stop the restore. It did not help...
I deleted my backup folder and changed the conduit back to Backup and did a hotsync. It seems to be working properly now. It is backing up my treo and not re-installing them like it was. Deleting the backup folder may of did the trick.
