I just tested it again. I hit "lookup in contacts" and for the second person and every person THEREAFTER there is only the number listed. Yes, you see the name in the lookup view but when you flip back to the compose screen on the messaging app, you only see the number. IF you send a message to 1 person and only 1 person you do see the name. I think this is a bad bug.
You learned a very good lesson... might as well get that resume polished! Now you are a racist. (not kidding... even if you are not, the label is there now.)
The treo... I have not noticed the problem... I do a search and the names come up... even on all of my family I do not have a problem with picking out who to send a message... maybe you should change your method of delivery... esp after drinking, with your black friends (like that really mattered to mention). You have issues.
