    Ok, I can utilize VNC within my own network (two macs), very simple.
    Set up one as a server, on the other launcher the viewer... all it takes is that simple 192.168 etc etc ip address.

    Here's what I can't seem to figure out.
    I have PalmVNC on my Treo 650 (sprint), and I'd like to VNC into my Mac at home. The Mac is hooked up to a LinkSys router.

    What do I need to do to make this happen?
    Do I need the internet, router and computer IP addresses?
    How do I get those, and where would I configure them in the palmvnc viewer?

    Your pc needs a static internal IP. On the router, forward ports 5800 and 5900 to that IP. Then look at the status of the router, it tells you what your outside ip is. Connect Palm VCN with it and you'll get on!
    Palm III -> Palm V -> Blue Palm Vx w/Omnisky -> Treo 270 -> Treo 600 -> Treo 650 -> Treo 680

    I understand the static IP part.
    As far as the rest, it sounds like I need to get into my router (log in), I forgot how to do that. Where do I get my router's IP address on a Mac so I can go ahead and make those changes? thanks
