Everytime I use the search key (bottom left keyboard button) the Treo 600 crashes, an automated soft reset.

I had several problems with the original unit and returned it to PalmOne for fixing. A ferw days ago the sent back a new unit. This also has the same issue.

Any ideas ?

Have you determine if an app you have installed is causing the reset?

If you have a Sprint 600, do a ##786 from the phone screen and then press dial. This will tell you what is causing the reset. It could be a app you have installed.

I'm not sure what the code is for T-Mobile, Verizon, Cingular etc.

my bet is that it's the included docstogo viewer.

do you have it installed?

many users experienced this treo 600 search crash and it was due to the docsto go viewer app.

not sure if there was a fix. search for older threads...

I think TurboTiger meant to say => type ##377 for last error message.

The ##786 gives you a lot of the phones stats information.
