I have to support the moderators on the word restriction. If the choice is to restrict vulgarity then words that are substitutes are in affect vulgarity.
An Alternate word used to convey a restricted word by causing the reader to think the restricted word is in fact a use of the restricted word. Personally I think if you must use vulgarity to express an opinion then just use it and pay the consequences in social ramification. In an effort to maintain a polite and non offensive site the moderators have chosen to restrict language to no vulgar expletives. I use some of the restricted words in my communications but I can by choice express my ideas just fine with out them. After all a persons choice of words says a lot about the person.
Final note on the subject, this is not a matter of free speech. Although this is a public forum it is owned and maintained by people. To me it is like a playground on the grounds of a business. The public could have access to the playground, but they don’t own it. The owner has every right to set the rules of use.
I tip my hat to the moderator that stands by his convictions, even if I don’t agree with them, (although I do in this case).

Well, it's too late for that...certain moderators have already contributed (and therefore supported) the discussion of "pornogrpahy". I am sure that offends people too.

And again, please point out the vulgarity, which is usually saved for the "Seven Dirty Words" ala George Carlin.

This is what people say when it is exactly a matter of free speech. I agree that this forum is "owned" by someone, but it exists and thrives due to members. And unless you can state specific T&Cs about language, it leads to inconsistent enforcement, which in the end is a freedom of speech issue.

Take a look around. How many people do you see that are getting ahead? They all have learned to get along with the people that have control. Some people that are not getting ahead call it sucking up. This can only be an attempt to stop others from using a skill that they don't have.
Next time you should try to suck up first instead of lamenting that someone else beat you to it.

I did not attack. What I tried to say is that it is a good idea to try and get along with those in control before getting up set that they are in control and a little suck up isn’t so bad. As far as suck up (being nice with people) rather than working hard, I never said or sugested that. I would not expect a person that is hard to get along with to go very far without pleasing the people in charge. It takes hard work and getting along with other people.
Don't attack again, I got it some think that their hard work exempts them from being polite.

VersaMail is cr%@ (crap was censored for MarkEagle) on the Treo 650. It is apparently a Palm Inc product and not a Handspring product. It worked fine on all of my Palm Inc handhelds, I am surprised that they release it like this on the Treo 650. What did the older Handspring products use before VersaMail? I wished they had put WebPro 3.5 on the 650 instead of the limited Blazer product.
