Personally, here is my description of what I'd like in an alarm:
1. When the alarm kicks in at the specified time, it will play at the lowest setting. (In this case, having a "min volume" option would be useful for heavy sleepers like me).
2. After one cycle of playing (based on duration), the volume is bumped up a notch. This happens concurrently as the tune is playing (no stop then restart).
3. When the cycle ends, the volume is raised another notch (concurrently again).
4. This whole sequence is repeated depending on the number of repeats specified.
Is it possible to get the tune to repeat itself + raise the volume without having a "stutter"? This IMO, correctly defines a true ascending tone behaviour.
